Tatia Zuloaga, CEO and co-founder of Upnotch, delivered an inspiring speech at the 2024 Volcano Innovation Summit, held in Antigua Guatemala, from August 31 to September 2, 2024.
Zuloaga, a passionate leader committed to developing impactful products and technology solutions, shared her journey of building Upnotch—an AI-powered mentorship platform that has transformed the way professionals and organizations connect globally.
Volcano Summit, which attracts 2,000 participants from more than 30 countries, serves as a hub for innovation, science, and culture, particularly with a focus on incorporating Latin America into the global network of innovation.
Zuloaga was joined at the Volcano Summit by other prominent speakers, including Simón Borrero, Co-founder and CEO of Rappi (Colombia), Karrie Lee Brown, VP and Media & Editor-in-Chief of SUCCESS Magazine (USA), and Eric A., Founder of monashees (Brazil).
Throughout the conference, recurring themes included community, connection, and the vital role of mentorship in driving both individual and organizational growth. Many speakers emphasized the importance of collaboration, especially in Latin America, stressing that success cannot—and should not—be achieved alone.
In her talk, Zuloaga shared her personal and professional journey, and how the power of mentorship has helped drive her success. “Mentorship has been a cornerstone of my career, and I am thrilled to share Upnotch’s success story with such a diverse audience,” she said.
She also spoke about how mentorship not only accelerated her own growth but also became the driving force behind the creation of Upnotch. Today, the platform is a thriving global community of professionals spanning six continents, democratizing access to mentorship and empowering individuals and organizations to achieve transformative growth.
These leaders shared their experiences and insights, reinforcing the overarching themes of the summit: the importance of community, connection, and mentorship in both individual and collective success.
Reflecting on her experience at the summit, Zuloaga expressed her gratitude for being part of such a prestigious event. “To be invited to speak at Volcano Summit and share the stage with global leaders I admire is truly humbling,” she said.
“I was also thrilled that other presenters spoke about their own life-changing experiences with mentorship, and how mentorship can propel innovation and change for businesses, communities, and even entire regions,” Zuloaga added.
