Peter Istvan, Upnotch Member, is the Owner and Headshot Photographer at Peter Istvan Photography.
With a diverse background spanning public/private healthcare and entrepreneurial business, Peter holds a PhD in Neurophysiology at Queen's University, Toronto.
In 2000, he made the move to the USA to work with Sentient Medical Systems (SMS), the largest entrepreneurial healthcare company providing intraoperative and diagnostic services.
Returning to Canada in 2004, Peter settled in Parry Sound, where he served as the Director of Corporate Services at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. In this role, he oversaw various departments including Ambulance and related services, Nursing Stations, Rehabilitation, Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, Accreditation, and internal programs.
His involvement extends beyond healthcare; he also worked as the campus Administrator in Parry Sound for Canadore College and is engaged with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and Athabasca University. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Parry Sound Family Health Team.
In 2016, he founded Peter Istvan Photography, showcasing his passion for capturing moments and telling stories through photography.
